Igor Sikorsky was one of the giant names of aircraft design and he created designs for helicopters, fighters, and giant bombers, to say nothing of his post-war career. In the spring of 1912 he started working for the Russian Baltic Railroad Car Factory (Russko-Baltiisky Vagonny Zaved or R-BVZ) as chief designer.[1]
