The Siemens-Schuckert R.VI was a one-off Riesenflugzeug (Giant Aeroplane) with serial number R.6/15. It served with Rfa 501 at Vilna on the Russian Front, where it had arrived on 7 Aug 1916.[5] [1] It conducted its first raid on 3 Sep 1916, bombing Molodeczne with the help of two escorting two-seaters.[5] After its service lifetime, the R.VI was dismantled.[6]

Like its predecessors, the R.VI was delayed to reconfigure the plane for better engines than the failed Maybach HS, leaving the factory on 25 April 1916. Plagued by part failures and various damage, the R.VI flew only sporadic missions, finally being declared unusable in November 1917.[7]
