The Caproni Ca.45 was a variant of the Caproni Ca.44 in the line of Caproni Ca.5 biplane twin-boom bombers. The Ca.45 featured more powerful Isotta-Fraschini engines.[1] Unfortunately, the Isotta-Fraschini engines proved to be just as troublesome as the Fiats they replaced.[2]

- Notes
- ↑ 255 of all Caproni Ca.5 types built.[1] Given the production problems that the Ca.5 encountered, it is much more likely that this number reflects an optimistic portion of the orders placed than a number of planes actually completed.
