The Albatros W.1, a.k.a. the Albatros WDD, was basically an Albatros B.II on floats. The first was delivered in 1914, and it was successful enough to lead to an order of five more. Two others with slight modifications were delivered later in 1914, followed by a much later order of ten with the 150hp Benz engine. It served in the Baltic and at Kiel and Putzig.[1]
